hahahahahahahahahahahaha if auburn made the orange bowl would tubberville join saban and stoop with 2.5mil a yr
actually many of you said UT would whip Auburn. Auburn is playing that old school, LSU way of punishing defenses with hard running and serious hitting up front. Now after they smoked UT everyone wants to put UGA ahead since it was so lopsided. However, UGA had their collective calendars circled for a year and put it all on the line against a young LSU team. While AU doesnt win pretty, I still think their hardnosed RB's will pose serious problems if their O line can keep improving. UGA's defense is definitely better than AU's which is the real difference in these 2 teams. Better enjoy watching Caddi and Ronnie Brown in the same backfield....could be watching two future stars in the NFL....similar to thurman thomas and barry sanders being on the same team at the same time.
yeah but they will know the feeling coming in to tiger stadium next yr to break in a new qb along with that back field you mention will be nuthin nice
Auburn simply doesn’t have the overall talent to win the MNC and LSU should never have lost to Auburn. However, if they do win the MNC, then Tubby should make MORE than Saban, because any coach who wins the MNC with that level of talent is one hell of a coach.
having 2 first rounders at running back with a good offensive line and an experienced sr. QB is not lacking a lot of talent. their defense has a lot of talent but are young. Young teams with early success usually significantly improve over the course of a year much moreso than those who lose as LSU has. I bet you thought UT would hammer them?
My objective view only but I think Tub(b)y is the biggest detriment to this team on gamedays. He used to be overly idiotic in playcalling and now he's overly conservative which almost cost him against LSU and has the last couple of years. He can afford to lately but i hate to see if you guys are playing from behind.
never said gamble...big difference in being too conservative hoping to protect a small lead and playing to win. yes he used to gamble basically trying to make a name for himself at the expense of the game itself in the past. Bobby Bowden used gimmicks when he lacked talent in his earliest years and was known for crazy play calling but now is the most conservative coach in big games since he has talent. Tubs talent isnt much different from what I remember. He's always had good talent in the past.
