I posted this on the Auburn board, and someone had an interesting take on all this.

Suppose Auburn is a fairly solid 2nd in the AP poll but comes out 3rd in the BCS. OU beats USC (but ugly), and Auburn totally destroys their opponent in their bowl game. The AP says FU to the BCS once again and says Auburn is their #1, while the coaches poll is forced to choose the BCS winner of course, OU.

    Food for thought.

    Fightin'Tiger.... you're close, IMO.

A coach like Stoops would present a formidable game plan against Borges...... just as Saban, Van Gorder, and Fulmer attempted.

But, what Borges' scheme has done is form a bond of confidence among a senior group of players. Chizik has his D playing as a cohesive unit. Many speculate that the offseason fiascos played a role in bonding the team, then Borges stepped in and provided the missing ingredient : confidence.

They're playing well as a team.

I did not say OU's defense was better than Auburn's, a-hole. I said their defense is very good, which it is, relative to most of the chumps on AU schedule.

Do my rep points threaten you?
