Is anyone else sick of hearing about how Auburn's offense is vastly improved over last season? Thought so. That's why I took the time to research how the war chickens did this season against UL-M and MooU versus how they did last season. Below are the results: 2003 2004 v. UL-M rush 241 194 pass 240 186 points 73 31 v. MooU rush 405 283 pass 148 182 points 45 43 Got those numbers straight from the Auburn Football Official Website. Even if MooU and UL-M are improved, there is no way they could have improved that much. That's 189 fewer yards gained and 44 fewer points scored against two of the worst teams in all of D-1A football.
Good stuff. Auburn's O may be better than last year but they haven't proven it just yet. guess they are basing all of their statements more on hope than on fact at this point in the season.
Here's Your Answer, Tirk In 2003, Auburn averaged 12.4 yards per catch. So far in 2004, it's virtually the same, at 13.6. Just as interesting is the completion percentage, which so far has DROPPED from 63% to 59%. Wow, that Jason Campbell is one heckuva QB, ain't he?
And don't dare forget ... that amazing % is against Stellar Defensive Pressure and compe"tit"ion :nope:
yep....that performance versus Northeast may say more than their win versus Moo U. We will know soon.
funny thing I think the auburn offense has improved and something in my gut tell me they are a much better team than last year. The funny thing is if the lsu game is postponed, I Ithink they will go undefeated until they play us on 11-6. The only true test they will have is UT.
