Dear tirk, the only thing that's going to help your inability to focus is a shit ton of ritalin or adderall.
i tried to get some adderall from the lease. she gave me one but i never took it. i heard that shit is the shit. i rarely take an aspirin so im probably not going to do it. I'm the anti D-R-U-G-G-I-E my body is healthy and im getting wealthy and the funky bunch helps me.
I took adderall for a couple years. It changes you. People have told me they like me better not on it. That said, I got a lot more done. My resting heart rate went from 58bpm to over 80. I would wake up feeling like my heart was gonna jump out of my chest. Didn't like it.
My younger daughter has ADHD. She is different on her meds (vyvanse). It's amazing how uber-focused she can be on just 30 mg. But she doesn't eat much on it, and since she's 7 and only 48 pounds to begin with, I'm considering having her take weekends off, so she'll eat. 20 mg, however, was a disaster for her: crying fits, no eating whatsoever, lack of great focus. That only lasted 3 days before I took her off of that.
48 lbs sounds normal @ 7. thing is you cant control the variables so you will account everything on the meds fixing or not fixing when its might not be. so it becomes self-fulfilling.
There is no doubt they help you focus. They also made me more of an ass (hard to imagine, I know). I kept good notes for a long time on what med, dosage, etc, as well as diet and general notes about how it affected me. In the end, I decided I would live without. Funny side effect is they made me eat like a horse. I gained 30 pounds on ADD meds and have yet to get it off for good.
my 6yo weighs 50 stacy, that weight sounds abt right, unless she is super tall, and lanky. Tirk- I have heard the meds are "awesome" for those of us that don't have ADHD bc they do the opposite, and give us tons of energy, and we run around like crazy people and drop tons of weight. It was on an episode of Housewives where Lynette took her kids ADHD meds, and was a housecleaning and grocery shopping like a maniac! if you still have it bring it to the ALS walk in October.
Don't ask me to be your dealer (but I do have a bottle of 20 mgs sitting around...) I don't know what a normal weight is for a 7 year old, except that everybody always comments on how tiny mine is. I usually can't tell because her 2 best friends are also little bitty.
