Auburn-LSU tickets.....check! Kentucky sour mash..... check!
Airplane tickets...... check! Party shoes..... check!

Yep, I'm squared-away for the trip to BR, my first since the AU-LSU "Earthquake Game," and I'm looking forward to another great tailgate and that great cajun hospitality. That game was one of the best I can remember (even though AU lost ) and not just for the game, but the whole gameday atmoshere that is LSU football. I heard the game has been picked up by ESPN and will now be a 6:45pm kickoff.

Here's how I see the matchup. Auburn bought into the hype and was humbled early.... call it a wake-up call. LSU - same thing against UF. Now, this game will likely determine the West champ, and neither team will "catch the other one looking."

Hopefully, both teams will heal-up (especially Mauck) and be ready to play another Earthquake Special. Auburn's D is better than most folks know, scary better. I think it comes down to this....if AU can score 17 pts. or more, they win. If they score 13 or less, they lose. In between, and it's anybody's guess.

    Offense: slight edge, LSU
    Defense: edge, AU
    Special Teams: slight edge, AU
    Coaching: advantage, LSU
    Intagibles: edge LSU, unless rain

What's the latest status on Mauck? Hopefully it's just a deep bruise/sprain but no ligament damage. Will he see PT against the 'Cocks?

    Actually...

Mauck is fine. It is Addai, our running back, that is hurt. He has a sprained MCL and won't play this week. Shyrone Carey our other running back is questionable this week but will most likely be back for Auburn. I would think Addai would be back as well. Most others are injury free.

    Earthquake game:

We have a great defense this year however I think our defense
might've been better for the year the earthquake game was
    played.

We gave up 2 field goals in that game, while the offense struggled all game and I believe that was the year Reggie
Slack had that incredible year much Like Rohan 2 years ago.

    What do you guys think?

Good post Cadillac, I agree. I think LSUstudent hasn't seen the AU D on TV lately.

The teams are so evenly matched it is going to be a toss up. From reading the Auburn boards you seem to be concerned with your pass defense while I think we are more concerned with our run defense. Since we pass better on offense and auburn loves to run it. Makes for one hell of a game.

But we have a little yardbird to eat.

    Hey guys
Lets not get ahead of ourselves! First lets take care of the birds, then we can look toward the BIG one vs AU.

    GO TIGERS!!!
