Les Miles is getting his share of criticism for the last play and the issue related to clock management. However, I believe Tubberville deserves even more blame for allowing LSU to even be in position to win the game. IMHO, Auburn sealed its fate by "squib" kicking the last kickoff putting LSU at its own 42 yard line. All LSU needed was a field goal to win. LSU got the ball with 3:13 on the clock, plenty of time to move the ball in for a score. My 14 year old daughter even realized that made no sense and asked why Auburn didn't kick in deeper or to KW if they were concerned about Trindon Holliday. With the ball at its own 42, LSU needed to gain only 33 yards to set up Colt David for a 42 yard kick. It turned out that we scored a touchdown, however, the generous field position is what allowed LSU to potentially be in position to kick a field goal to win the game. Good job Tuberville !

In future posts, please refer to him as Tubs or Tubby. I find it much more demeaning.

And I totally agree with your post by the way.

Yep, you're right. And don't think they're not talking about it on the AU boards too. That is, those that aren't whining about calls. Can you believe those people actually have the nerve to cry about 'bad' calls?

I thought the object of the kicking game on kickoffs is to try and pin the opponents offense deep in their own territory to help out your own defense. I'm sure Will Muschamp was real happy about that kickoff. I'm going to enjoy this one for a while. I sure hope we can get it done on their field next year.

What I can't understand is: Auburn clearly wanted no part of Holliday having the ball. By my count, he only touched the ball once on offense (for a nice gain).

I really hope we drop some serious TH on Bama. He's incredible.

He said on the Auburn Tigers show last night that he felt their defense could hold LSU.

Let's not forget that he was having good success with making us almost turn it over a couple of times on those kicks.

Tubs isnt looking at all tubby these days. Dude looks freakishly thin- like Ichabod Crane or something.

I didnt get why they'd give it to us on the 42 either.
