You may have read that Ali Sharief changed his commitment from Auburn to bama, supposedly because bama will give him a shot at RB while Auburn wants him strictly as a DB. While that is true, there is more there than meets the eye. One of LSU's recruits, Chris Keys, has been living this year with Sharief in North Alabama. Keys is rated by some as the top safety prospect in the country. You may recall that Keys was busted for MJ possession at his Louisianna H.S. before FB season started and suspended for the year. He met Sharief and came to live with him in hopes of playing in Alabama. But Alabama honored Louisianna's suspension and wouldn't let him play here either. As it looks now, LSU won't offer Sharief and Auburn won't offer Keys so.......you guessed it bama is offering both. bama HC Shula and some of his staff visited Keys yesterday and are putting on the full court press.
Well Proud, until the Saban things settles many of our recruits will start looking elsewhere, I guess it understandable..
