Bama fan to be sentenced 2 years in prison for pecker prank.

    NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- An Alabama man pleaded guilty Tuesday to obscenity charges and faces a two-year prison sentence for rubbing his genitals on an unconscious LSU fan in a Bourbon Street restaurant after the BCS national title game in January.
    Prosecutors reached a plea deal with Brian H. Downing of Smith Station, Ala., on the morning he was scheduled to be tried on charges that included sexual battery, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Prosecutors agreed to drop the battery charge.
    Downing is scheduled to be formally sentenced on Nov. 29, but Orleans Parish Criminal District Judge Karen Herman indicated she will sentence Downing to two years in prison and recommend his participation in a boot camp program run by prison officials. Downing will not be required to register as a sex offender.

    Little excessive to be honest.. I would think 3 months community service and some salary garnish for the victim, but come on this happens at parties all over the world.... Guy is a typical Alabama fan jackass. But sadly being an obnoxious arrogant classless bama fan isn't against the law... Sadly.....

    I bet if he rubbed his nads in your face and it was plastered all over the internet you wouldn't think the punishment was excessive. He got what he deserved. Hopefully someone will be rubbing their nads in his face every day for two years!

    This. The mentality of our population to lock people up for anything and throw away the key is stupid. We incarcerate a greater percentage of our population than any county in the world, yet we have ridiculous crime. Something's not working.

    100 hours of community service would have been plenty. Also, it's not limited to Bama fans. I had about 50 frat brothers that would've done the same thing back in the day.

    He hasn't been sentenced yet. It's was a sex crime, and it is against the law. IF he gets 2 years, he'll be out in about 11 months, if he an keep his genitals to himself.
