I don't know, maybe its the Christmas spirit, maybe I've been caught up in the excitement of my kids, maybe it was my own Christmas wish, or maybe I am influenced from reading the other threads.... but, last night I had a dream, a premonition if you will, that LSU won the NC pulling away in the second half, ala, Arky game style. The anticlimactic score was 41-13 after a close first half. Once again, the difference was special teams and defensive containment. The special teams was the real difference, not in FGs missed by ALA, but in what our STs did on the field. The punting was strategic, and I think TM7 ran a punt back. Late game was filled with just smash mouth running the ball and running out the clock. I dreamed all of that I don't know about all of you, but I am starting to get fired up about this game. We have beaten 8 ranked teams in quite convincing fashion, 3 of them were ranked in the top 3 at time of game, have gotten up for teams when we could have been flat, have held 3 of the top 5 runners to 68ypg (thanks for that stat Fang), and already beat a great Bama team at home in a game where we didn't play our best offensively. CLM will have this team fired up, and they will play with desire, heart, and emotion. This will not be anticlimactic, but rather the culmination of one of the finest seasons in college football history. As CLM said after the game of the century, we will "be honored to play that football team again" and beat them again! :geaux::tigereye:
It's a toss up between this Bama team and Spurrier's UF teams as far as who I hate more. I just want a win and don't care by how much. They will whine either way.:geaux:
41-13 is a great prediction for tweaking the Gumps, but I can't disrespect the team like that...they're too good to get blown out like that. I'm calling it 20-10 Tigers, maybe 27-10 if we get a defensive score.
31-13 Bama gets a defensive touchdown, their offense fails to get in the endzone again. Kenny Hilliard and Michael Ford both have over 100 yards rushing, and Jefferson adds 60 yards rushing of his own. Personally I thought, LSU had it's worst performance of the year against Alabama, had a very, very conservative game plan, and Jefferson didn't play the whole game, Kenny Hilliard didn't play much. This isn't the same offense that took the field on November 5th.
And you gumps are delusional if you think you can score 34 on this defense. Write it down, take a picture, I don't give a phuck... but the tide gets rolled in the Dome, take that to the bank biatch.
