they are taking the opening verse of tiger rag and replacing it with hey fightin' tiger...*********s!
Just something small blown way out of proportion. I was upset about it when I first heard, but I got over it. From hearing Tiger Rag once per game to none. This is not the first time that Tiger Rag has not been played. Between 10-15 years ago, the band never played it. It was brought back in hopes that the chants had been forgotten.
I'm a former TigerBand member, please explain to me what this is about. The only "vulgarity" I recall is yelling "kick their ass" instead of LSU at the end of the 1st down cheer. Is there actually a change to Pregame itself?
Before the game when the band is playing Tiger Rag, you can hear the student section pretty well chant " *******, *******"
Tiger Rag... "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, *******S, *******S..." Instead of that beginning of Tiger Rag (When we flip the LSU to the east), we play a little bit of Hey, Fightin Tigers, then skip into Presto to do the T-I-G-E-R-S spellout.
As long as the cheerleaders still do 2 bits " 2 bits, 4 bits, 6 bits a NICKLE, all you Cajun fans suck on my pickle!":thumb:
