    1. Tennessee hires new baseball head coach - The University of Tennessee has hired Western Carolina's Todd Raleigh to replace fired baseball coach Rod Delmonico, the school announced Thursday, June 21, 2007. Raleigh, 38, is a Swanton, VT native and was head coach of Western Carolina for 8 years. His teams won two regular season Southern Conference championships and one Southern Conference tournament title. They also made two NCAA Regional appearances and reached the final game both times.

    2. Alabama Coach, Jim Wells, retires - Jim Wells announced on Thursday that he would step down as the University of Alabama's baseball coach. Wells, 52, coached at Alabama for 13 seasons, compiling a 553-272 record including three College World Series appearances in his first five seasons.

    What's the story with Jim Wells? I bet any new funding for every non-football sport at Bama is going to be non-existant in the near future.
