i'm surprised (not really) they didn't move to number one in at least collegiate baseball. uc irvine swept a pathetic uc davis team, and loss to san diego 9-2 last week. their schedule is pretty darn weak too. but to be honest, i like the anteaters. they've been a program on the rise the last few years.
CWS finals one year and being within 4-5 outs of beating LSU in the Box the next. They're a good club. But I saw in some projections they were picked to be in the same region as San Diego State. That's interesting in that when that Strasberg kid pitches, it may well be a loss for anyone in the country. So that's a tough matchup.

I'm confident that we got it locked up. SEC champs, #2 in country, plus a brand new playground with 10,000k plus seat sure to be sold-out, should lock us in.
agreed. even though hawthorne & co. like to say that ballparks don't get you anywhere with the NCAAs these days... that, paired with being SEC champs and ranked second.... it's a lock.
