1. Let's disregard the following facts:
    1. LSU is 16-4
    2. LSU has won 4 straight SEC games
    3. LSU has a top 30 schedule
    4. LSU is in the top 25 in the RPI.

What bugs me is that after winning its only two games this week, both against SEC teams, LSU dropped in the ESPN Coaches poll. At least last week we picked up two votes. This week LSU beat Tennessee by 17 and Arkansas by 13. How is it that LSU loses its only 2 votes with those kind of results?

And the AP? LSU is not even among the top 43. Then again, it is the AP.
  2. Michigan State...a team who is 12-8 is ranked higher than LSU in the AP Poll...sad sad sad
  3. Like I've been saying............

    Polls make no sense.......NONE

Its no different than football or basketball or baseball.......

All teams have to prove it on the field.

    They shouldn't have pre-season polls......

    Thats what screws everything up...

IMHP....I think they start polls around half way point in season
    for ALL sports........

AU was pre-season #1 in football I believe.....

Where was LSU ranked and UsUCK?

Rankings for all sports are flawed to begin with and they certainly
don't respect LSU or the SEC.

Of course LSU didn't help things with thier non-conference schedule, I think thats 1 reason thier ignoring us!!!
  4. Unlike football, basketball and baseball has a playoff system, so polls are less important.

A win against Florida will put them in the Top 25...
  5. Not only less important, they are worthless.
  6. computers always know better than humans.
  7. I thought we had all figured by recent events that they are nothing more than popularity contests? The only thing that matters is the last win in March. That tells all.
  8. i hate the polls too, but the low ranking is because we had an average team last year that lost 4 seniors. that, and because we haven't won any big games (MSU, USC). dont worry though, we have our chance now with UF, UK, MSU and Vandy coming up. gonna be damn tough if you ask me, especially with 3 of 4 on the road.
  9. We scored 49 points against Ole Miss...Was that at home or on the road?

Ole Miss was coming off a 15+ point blowout to an equally putrid Arkansas team...

The voters know...Like most of you should by now...That LSU is consistently inconsistent, and that teams that are up and down just aren't "sexy" enough to put in the polls...

    Come on, fellas...
  10. Oklahoma scored 36 point the other night, and they are getting more points than us. Forget the polls, let's win the SEC tourney!
