Derik Olvey was on Buddy Songy's radio show one day last week. I really enjoyed the interview with him. He was a very well-spoken young man and he was quite excited to be playing for LSU. So nice to be able to get a transfer like him that has skills to match his personality.
Wow after Saturday and looking at the first part of the schedule I was fully expecting the Tigers to get off to a 7 or 8 and 0 type of start. How in the world do they come out and lay an egg on Sunday and get beat by the Div. II North Florida Ospreys...way to close out a sweep. Now I know it's only one game in a long, long season but not sweeping a Div. II school at home to open the season is weak, especially after allowing only one run in two games.
