they are on espn news right now. 2003 has been mentioned. im intersested to hear this and what will come out of it. there must be alot of sports fans in congress. the man from texas said that we could have a 64 team playoff if we went back to 10 game season, he must have misspoke.
I must have missed something cause I don't have a clue about these BCS hearings. What are they discussing and why is Congress discussing it?
congress decided to have these hearings to decide because college football is big buisness. they are trying to decide wether or not to force ncaa to have a playoff. theres more to it than that and maybe someone else can explain better but that is as much as i know
I'm pretty sure the whole thing came up because of the non BCS schools. Someone in Congress thought enough of it to find some laws of inclusion that the BCS violates. If I had to guess, I'd say there will either be some major changes, like no automatic bids, or the BCS will be Bye Bye and we will be back to polls again. I seriously doubt that Congress can force the NCAA to create a playoff system.
mark mays opinion much like others: "arent there more important things," also said "shouldnt they be holding these hearings in august instead of december"
The way I understand it, they are doing it now because they want changes before next season. Can't implement them in time if you do it in August.
i agree, i dont know if you are watch ing but he wants a 4 team playoff only when needed, i cant say ive heard this before, i think if you can have a 4 team playoff then have one, dont change every year.
