Many Republicans couldn't vote for a Mormon.

    I supported Chuckabee.

    They could and they would.

I liked Huckabee but his fair tax plan is idiotic in my opinion. And trust me, i would come out much better with his plan in the short term because I'm pretty tight and don't spend extravagantly. In the long term, a tax plan that rewards saving over spending is not good for anyone.

Many could and would, and many also couldn't and wouldn't.

    Ok....

That's a pretty nebulous statement. I'm for anything that reduces the size of govt. The IRS would be nearly eliminated with the Fair Tax plan.

Al Franken? I know he's a comedian but this has to be a joke.

    What is wrong with people?

Franken's predecessor, who was killed in a plane crash, was a very popular, fanatical anti war Senator. Franken took advantage of that and the voters were too stupid or ignorant to see beyond his position on "Bush's War".

What's the big deal in a country where we elected a peanut farmer, a B-movie actor, and The Terminator to higher office.

its quite shallow to only consider carter a peanut farmer and reagan an actor. id have much more of a problem electing a talkshow host than successful governors of large states.
