Skip Bertman will remain LSU's athletic director through June 30, 2008, and then will move into a fundraising position for at least two more years, Bertman told Gannett Louisiana on Wednesday night. "We're going to announce a three-year extension tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, and I'm excited about that," Bertman said from his home. "I'll remain athletic director for one more year and then become athletic director emeritus and work in fund raising for the chancellor. I'll get to finish a lot of things I want to, like the baseball stadium." Plans for the construction of a new baseball stadium were recently delayed, but Bertman said he expects the stadium to still be ready by the 2008 season. So I guess LSU will start looking for a new AD this year. Any chance we get Romanavic(sp?) back from Georgia Tech?
Perhaps you meant the East Upper Deck? He's done some good things (hiring CLM when we really didn't have too many choices), but some bad things too.
Skip Bertman has been an average AD. As a baseball coach I would not take 1 person over him. but as AD he has not done anything spectacular.
