best performance?..positives??

  1. Man, I'm really trying to rack my brain to think of ONE player that had a totally good and COMPLETE game tonight. Most guys made a few plays at some time or another but pretty much everybody sucked for most of the game. The two best performances I can think of are Whitworth shutting their all-american down in the second half (after missing some blocks in the first) and Dwayne Bowe who looked pretty good most of the time. What a crappy game though -for the most part.

Whitworth got his ass handed to him most of the game, but Bowe did come on strong. I think Lionel Turner had 15 tackles and a sack which is pretty solid if you ask me and yes what a crappy game for the most part.

    Whitworth was owned.

Webster lost any chance at any award. He had a really bad game, based on his standards.

Travis Daniels had an excellent game. The D Line played great for the most part. Oliver looks to be a monster.

Dwayne Bowe is gonna have his breakout season, just as I predicted. And JRussell took over the starting job by the time the Auburn game comes around, just as I predicted.

Addai looks to be a potent weapon at WR, just needs to learn to catch the ball more consistently. Doucet was giving his DB fits, getting 2 holding penalties called against him.

Overall, a lot of areas need improvement. The defense is basically just as dominating. I am not worried about that end of things. They will only get better as the season progresses. The offense's hopes now lie in the hands of JRussell.

The kicking game is.......well......I don't need to tell you.

Have to add to this vote.

  7. I forgot about Kyle, he probably had the best game of anybody- he's going to be a nice player this year. Whitworth did get schooled for a while but I watched him alot in the second half standing Swancutt up. I dont believe he gave up any plays in the second half.

Webster looked really effected by the field. He slipped and slid all over the place.

  9. Webster was bad as was Skyler, Justin, Alley, Joeseph, Travis, Jesse, LaRon etc... Lionel missed a few tackles, did EJ Kuale even have one? On the flip-side props to Oregon State, they wanted the game and were well prepared to take it.

the whole " one player " concept is totally agaisnt what Saban tries to instill. IF anyone should get the "game ball" for this game it would be the entire DeFENSE. When they were tired and hurting they KEPT on hammering and trying, resulting in keeping us in the game. Sure they dropped a few INT's but basically, they kept us in this game. NO ONE shoulod get kudos on this game because they pretty much all sucked. I bet SABAN doesn't hand out a bunch of lollipops after this one. he might bus a few heads though.......
