Most recent movies seen in bold. For 2009, I've changed my rating system from a 10 point to scale to the following.

    Best of the Best

    Taken

    Glad I Saw Them

The International (I really enjoyed this movie. It was really interesting. Got a bit slow at one point, but well worth seeing)
Underworld - Rise of the Lycans

    Eh

The Unborn (it had the hot chick from Cloverfield on it)

    Blech

He's Just Not That Into You This was my Valentine's Day torture session. I figured it would be good for a short nap. The wife woke me up twice during the movie b/c I started snoring loudly. I'll admit that when I was a awake I did laugh a couple of times. By in large, I couldn't wait for it to get over. It seemed like it would never end. The damn thing lasted over 2 hours. The wife did like it though. I suppose if Jennifer Connelly would have looked hot in the movie, I could have endured it better. They had her looking plain jane homely.)

    On the List to See...

    My Bloody Valentine 3D
    Friday the 13th
    Watchmen
The Last House on the Left
    Knowing

    Slumdog Millionaire

One of the best movies I've ever seen in my life. Period.

I've heard that many times. I just can't make myself go see it. I don't care for an India movie or movies about people playing "Who wants to be a millionaire" in India. I'll wait for it to come out on DVD or Bluray and then see it. I'll most likely say it is a great movie once I see it.

Me too. Exactly the same feeling. Wonder when that DVD releases? Has not yet been announced.

Can't help you on the India part although that is just the setting. But it's really not about the gameshow. That is merely the vehicle for much larger themes. I think if you've ever been poor, ever struggled, ever loved, ever had sibling issues, then the movie can't help but strike a chord.

I think you will like it. Can't wait to read your review.

vball's right. The gameshow is simply a vehicle for much much larger themes. The way the kid knows each answer is the story.

I know all of you will like it.

I liked Slumdog Millionaire. I thought it was a little slow in spots but overall a good movie.

    Taken was pretty good too.

I was very disappointed the The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I didn't like that much at all. The shots of NO we in the 30's were cool but that's about it.

    Taken
    Doubt
    MILK

    All excellent.

Will watch Slumdog next weekend. Also want to see Frost/Nixon. I am a sucker for historically based movies (ala MILK).

Just checked out Taken on Friday. That was an amazing movie. Definitely one that I will buy when it comes out on DVD/BluRay.

    Most anticipated list:
    GI Joe
    Transformers 2
    Angels and Demons
    Xmen Origins: Wolverine
    Star Trek
    Terminator Salvation
    Fast and Furious
    2012

Yeah, I'm prolly gonna end up spending half the summer at the movies.
