    Josh Downs:

He still projecting to convert to Center or might he stay on the D-line now? I'm sure he redshirts either way, but I think he'll do well at either.

And I think you can close the Bastrop pipeline for a year after this year. I can't think of any juniors who appear on that level. Now the year after might be different. Jevante Watson has a great chance to be special. He's probably the next wearer of the coveted Ram #5 jersey.

To all readers: if you ever get to check out a Bastrop game, whoever is wearing #5 is likely THE MAN. I forget who Marshay Green (Ole Miss) passed it to...might've been Tommy White (Southern Miss) but that person passed it to D-Lo (LSU) who passed it to Rueben (???) who will probably pass it to Jevante.

There has been some debate on the subject about Downs but the general consensus is that he will stay on the Dline. His motor has really showed this season and we need some big bodies with dline experience at the present time. In regards to where he is being recruited it has to be Dline with the number of Oline prospects we have committed and we expect to add another. So he is definetly being recruited as a DT however down the road that could change depending on our needs in future years. I doubt we ever see him on the Oline IMO.

Downs is a DT recruits. However, I expect him to be switched over to center after a redshirt year.

I hope he is able to stick at DT, cuz I think that is where he will excel.

The truth of the matter is we have only one possible center from the last 2 recruiting classes, PJ Lonergan. The depth chart is thin.

What specifically qualifies a player to be a center? Is it the ability to exercise leadership/management of the line? Quickness?

Is T-Bob no longer considered a viable center prospect?

What about T-Bob Hebert? Isn't he our next center?

Maybe T-Bob was 3 classes ago? Cause he's definitely a center.

    Nope. RS Freshman. He's a 2006 Recruit. 2-classes ago.

Who is going to make the move to Center? We'll only have 1 scholly Center next year and he'll be coming off a MAJOR injury. I definitely can see him being our backup Center due to depth concerns. T-Bob is a big question mark, as is anyone coming off a bad injury. I wonder who LSU is going to move to Center, any ideas?
