the horns are still struggling at the plate. we are officially in a freaking slump. we dominated the first game with the ace mccollough throwing a masterful complete game. the saturday game was back and forth with the horns winning on a home cookin' call at the plate. we played like **** on sunday and lost 5-3. we've gotta start hitting or omaha will be a stretch. our middle relief is in question and cox is not dominating in the closer role. nebraska swept oklahoma state this weekend and they appear to be the team to beat in the conference in my opinion. heavyweight fight next weekend as the horns travel to lincoln. all three games will be on espn so check it out. baylor took 2/3 from oklahoma in waco. mark mccormick got the loss on saturday in an effort that went 5.2 innings, giving up 3 hits and 4 runs (2 earned) with 5 walks and 3 k's. tamu took 2/3 from kansas at home which, like the texas series with ksu, is not very impressive. missouri won 2/3 over texas tech. they pounded the raiders on friday night and set about a million big 12 records in doing so. mizzou score 17 runs in the second inning and the game finished at 25-0. also of note, two mizzou pitchers combined that night for a no hitter. i see things are still just as whacked up in the sec as always. lsu and texas both better **** their **** together soon.
Wow.. now wtf does that have to do with LSU? You throw there name in at the end and that puts in it the Den? My threads were moved for this, someone get at it...
He's not a contributor, and i don't see that you are either. Kinda hard for the posts not to go there!
my apologies guys. i was under the impression that there were college baseball fans on this board. i'll oblige.
I appreciate the updates. I live in Big 12 country but to get the kind of information you posted, I'd have to dig it up as I damned sure am not gonna get it from the Austin paper which has the sorriest sports section produced and read by man. Big 12 baseball information is relevant to LSU baseball when you consider locations for regionals and superregionals. Maybe those that don't want the information could just pass it by. I appreciate it and hope you continue to post baseball information. :thumb:
i know for certain tirk asked for the updates, and this does give us an idea of who is hot around us as we may be playing a Big 12 team in a regional or super regional. keep 'em coming.
p.s. thanks for the updates. trust me, most fans feel that way because all the see is their team's struggles. look around this board for proof. same whining every year about the exact same things. kinda funny.
Why the whining? He's been posting for a few eeeks now and the dialogue ahs been great. How refreshing to see someone with out the colored glasses on!!!
