You have to feel bad for Ben. I sure hope he gets over this injury and has a good career. We should all keep him in our prayers.

Ben wasn't cut by the Bengals. Here's a later release clarifying his status:

    Wilkerson stays

GEORGETOWN, Ky. - A news release issued earlier today on the roster status of center Ben Wilkerson was incorrect. Rather than being waived (failed physical), Wilkerson was placed on the active/non-football injury list. Wilkerson remains with the team at training camp, but has not yet been cleared for practice as he continues rehab from a major knee injury he suffered last season while at LSU. He is eligible to be cleared for play as soon as his physical condition allows.

That injury was ashame . It was jut one of those things you can do nothing about. I hope he recovers and gets back on his feet and has a good career. He was a good guy.

I meant he was a good guy and a good rep for LSU when he WAS here. I'm sure he's still a great guy though. You just hate to see unfortunate things like that happen to a guy.

I think I'll say a prayer or 2 for Big Ben as well.

This just doesn't seem fair. David Pollack said Ben was the best offensive player he ever played against.

Hope he gets up to speed soon.
