AuburnSports.com Lache Seastrunk The Tigers are staging a star-studded recruiting weekend -- they're calling it Big Cat Weekend -- that features the two top running backs in the nation as well as the No. 2 linebacker prospect, the No. 2 wide receiver, the No. 2 offensive guard and the No. 4 offensive tackle, as well as others. The move is an interesting twist in recruiting, at least for Auburn. AuburnSports.com says approximately 25 recruits are in town. Among those visiting are running backs Lache Seastrunk, the No. 1 running back in the nation according to Rivals; and Marcus Lattimore, the No. 1 running back in the nation according to Scout. They're friends, and both have spoken favorably of the Tigers. Seastrunk is from Texas and Lattimore is from South Carolina. Another big-timer, linebacker Khairi Fortt from Stamford, Conn., is visiting, too. He's rated as the No. 2 outside linebacker by Rivals, and has offers from the likes of Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami, Ohio State and Southern California. The No. 2 receiver, according to Rivals and Scout, is Trovon Reed. He's visiting, too. Auburn needs help in the offensive line, and that's attracted James Stone, the No. 4-rated tackle, according to Rivals; and Eric Mack, the No. 2 guard, according to Scout, via Inside the Auburn Tigers. AuburnUndercover.com says 12 players off the ESPNU 150 Watch List are on hand. AuburnSports.com also says these guys are visiting, among others: Receivers Shaun Kitchens of College Park, Ga., (he's already committed to Auburn), Reed of Thibodaux, La., (and a buddy of Seastrunk), Jeremy Richardson of Springville and Antonio Goodwin of Atlanta. Offenisve linemen Shon Coleman of Olive Branch, Miss., (said to be a soft Auburn commit), Mack of St. Matthews, S.C. (he's got four stars, according to Rivals) and Stone of Nashville. Thought it interesting that the AU beat writer would focus potential violations instead of the many positives. Wondered why he was so well versed on NCAA violations that he could cite the infractions. I googled many articles about secondary violations and could not find such a detailed approach anywhere. Where could this man have been trained? Oh yeah, the Crimson White...
