What exactly is a blue dot, almost a grey shade? I have 2 reputation's which are neither green nor red, but this odd color?

I have a couple too... no clue what they mean but they don't add or subtract from your rep.

I think it is when people go to leave a reputation comment but fail to click "Approve" or "disapprove." I really have no clue, but thats the best I could come up with.

I think you might be right about that. If you click on the thread name by the blue dot it takes you to your post in that thread that was given rep points. Then if you click on your own thumbs up icon at the bottom of your post you can see that when the dot if blue it says "Your reputation for this post is even"

  6. Where do you see a blue dot, how do you check the reputation?
