Don't take my word for it: read for yourself what Lou...err, Bo, had to say recently:

LSU's Pelini Already Feeling the Heat

We have all the ingredients for this guy to become more and more stubborn should his "stupid" players continue to be unable to grasp his "simple" scheme and we moronic fans continue to question it.

Why? Because he's little more than a hired gun, a mercenary who plans to use LSU (as he did Oklahoma and Nebraska) to burnish his cred and get a HC gig sooner rather than later.

Les Miles was big enough to retain Jimbo Fisher in part because he saw a talented offense that had the ability to flourish under a philosophy that was put in place before he arrived.

It's quite sad and unfortunate that he did not take the same approach with the defense. I truly hope I'm wrong, but the more I read stuff like this, the more I think hoping things will work themselves out is just wishful thinking on my part.

Seasons like this---ones with real promise and championship potential---don't come often to these parts. I'll be damned if I sit back quietly as the obstinancy of some ego-fueled mercenary threatens to sink this team. :angryfire

This guy acts like he is the only one that ever played or coached football. He needs to be aware that this isn't the Big 12 with their moronic fans. This is the Sec and WE KNOW FOOTBALL...He want last long if he keeps making comments like that.

Oh, for those who didn't think we pressured the QB last Saturday, Pelini says otherwise:

Bo knows his football, and he insists that the fact that the ASU QB's uniform lacked grass-stains at the end of the game was a miracle, since "our pressure was there" all night long.

You guys don't know football, so keep yer mouths shut and enjoy how we "pressure" the QB and "hold" teams to half a thousand passing yards per Pelini-coached game. :dis:

I agree with Bo. All of the detractors are armchair wannabes who have no clue as to what is involved in coaching at the Div I level. You weekend warriors want to kill this guy after one f****** game which we won. You are stupid in this context.

Are you trying to tell me that you have coached at the collegiate level? Look, i know that some people here like to fancy themselves smarter than the average fan, but if you are trying to tell me that you are as knowledgable about college football or football in general than Bo Pelini, then i have to say that you are delusional. Lets look at Bo Pelini's file from lsu sports.net.

    http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=28715&SPID=2164&DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=175222&Q_SEASON=2005

You are not as knowegable about football or coaching it at any level as Pelini and you sure as hell don't know more or as much about his scheme than he does, especially after one one game of seeing it. The fact is that he is right. You may know something, but it is not enough to just go out and say that it won't work. Get over yourself.

...and if his goal is to be a head coach "sooner rather than later", then it would seem to me that he would be busting his tail off getting a good defense.

If you think he'll just back, collect a paycheck, and not try, then you're mistaken. You're right, he DOES want to be a head coach.... So that should tell all of us that he's not gonna sit on his hands and let opponents ruin his chances of being named a head coach.

Also see in that article where Tennessee TURNED DOWN rooms at the Holiday Inn Select in Baton Rouge for the game???

Well, if that's the case, UT fans, officials and players need to shut up. They HAD their rooms and didn't want them.
