Actually, Mich has lots of talent on that team as well but the problem is that it doesn't have a coach who can do something with that talent. Its like having a Ferrari, and not having a driver for the car.
jmo, but I have never thought Hart and Henne were that talented. Fla. proved last year that the sec is on a whole different level.
I hope Miles handles this situation better than his predecessor. It's going to be asked of him all season and the best thing he can do is say he won't talk about it during the season. I hope it doesn't become a distraction. And I'm not convinced promoting Pelini or Crowton to HC is the best move. Running a program is vastly different than running a defense or offense.
Just out of curiosity, what do Michigan fans think of Miles? I hva enot read any of their boards and I know like one Michigan fan...just wondering what they think of Miles.
Michigan might be Miles alma mater but he could never have the opportunity there that he has here. Saban could have been LSU's Bear Bryant and now I bet he's kicking himself for leaving it (though he'll try to do it again in bama). Les Miles has such fertile grounds here that he would likewise be foolish giving it up. If he's thinking with his head and not his heart, he'll stay.
i hate talking about this... but miles likes it here and he is generally well accepted among LSU fans. but there is NO doubt miles' heart is with michigan. if you disagree then you haven't heard him speak about his alma mater before. he beams about michigan like a newlywed.
I agree. La. has a great selection of skill players and a few good linemen. We need to go to our neighbors to get a full compliment of linemen, but if we do that, we can be set. They you get to compete in the SEC, and maybe play for championships, both SEC and national. I think the smart play is to stay in BR, where the hard work of the last 2 years, building relationships, building a staff, is already done.
You've got to be kidding. Miles is not going anywhere. I think he is at LSU for as long as LSU wants him. My opinion.
You serious? Just listen to him talk about Michigan. He loves that school just like we love LSU. To think he would say no to Michigan is foolish, at best. If offered, he's gone ... and I can't blame him.
