Boise State vs. Virginia Tech

First play of the season is a flea flicker.

We run up the middle.

VT's unis look good, too.

 

Black for black's sake. BFBS

Boise's unis are freakin' horrible.

Blue shoes?

 

BSU is shutting every one up, including me.

 

It's still labor day.

 

I started out pulling for VT, but their thugness has changed my mind.

 

They're a gritty team year in and year out. Whether they could play up to that level every week, I'm not sure, but I always love to watch them.

 

So, Boise St. just blew a 17 point lead. VT doing what LSU tried to do the other night...except LSU fumbled. But THAT is how you wear teams down...running the football. When do we start hearing BSU fans calling for Peterson's head? Or what if Beamer keeps doing the thing that got them back in the game...but they lose? Do VT fans call for his head??

 

LSU was the one blowing the lead. VT would be NC wouldn't they?

 

It's sad when a team's entire schedule is discussed in terms of two games because after those two games they are already assumed to win the rest and somehow "deserve" to be in the BCS National Title game? If BSU gets to the BCS National Title game and I was an Arkansas, South Carolina or Auburn I'd break off from the SEC, become independent, schedule two semi tough games a year and patsies the rest and expect to be in the title game. This BSU thing is on the verge of opening pandora's box and becoming down right silly.

 

But you were okay doing that with Bama BEFORE playing any games?

I'd love to see a TCU/Boise matchup. No SEC team is leaving, would be too costly.
