Reading this got me fired up. This team/coaching staff has great chemistry. It sounds like our Tigers are ready to finish the job!!! :thumb: http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/12583286.html
I'm not sure that Pelini needs to coach this game. He is HC of another team. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a really good DC and the team loves him. They deserve the chance to win the title with the coaches that brought them to the dance. I'm just not 100% certain. Of course, if/ when our Tigers win the :crystal: , I will be the first one in line to eat more CROW. I am starting to like CROW.... stir-fried especially!!! :crystal: :geaux: :crystal: :geaux: :crystal:
Get over it...he's coaching the game. I think he deserves it, and I think it will serve as motivation for the defense. This reminds me a lot of the SECCG, with all the drama before the game. It served to unify the team, and I believe this will serve to unify the defense in this case. This team really does seem to have a chemistry with each other...and that includes the coaching staff, even if they ARE leaving soon. Oh, and you gotta try "blackened" crow...I think you'll find it's even better than stir fried, man...tasty! But, first and foremost...crow tastes best when it's served fresh...so be sure to show up soon as the game's over...with an appetite.
It appears, from reading what the players have to say, it may be more harmful if he wasn't asked to be there. His players wanted him there. There is no ill will...everyone is happy for him and they want him there to "finish"...He must practice what he has been preaching all this time....it is quite often we have to show our kids that we actually believe all that crap we tell them, then we have to prove it.... even though it is not always convienant. Luckly, things seem to be going well in BR and hopefully the natives are getting restless
Fishhead .... READ MY ENTIRE ENTRY.... This group deserves to play this game together... everyone from the HC to the strength and conditioning coach; and from the QB to the last guy on the depth chart. They've earned it ... EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM!!! But look at it from an intellectual point of view: Pelini is now a cornhusker and has been focused on recruiting, assembling a staff, and his plan for another team. Personally, I am 10% skeptical, but 90% confident. That's just my honest opinion. If you don't like it... fine!! This is America and we're all entitled to our opnions. I still expect CLM, Dorsey, Hester, Steltz, and Flynn, and Co to be hoisting the :crystal: on Jan 7th!!! :crystal: :geaux: :geaux: :crystal: Have a Great Day!!!
There are no other good choices. If it didn't coach, who would? An assistant? Do they have any experience creating a gameplan? You certainly couldn't bring in a new DC at this point. Given the choices, it's best he is here.
I read your whole entry. Now, go back and read mine, and you will see that it is 90% lighthearted joking...10% reasons why he SHOULD coach this game. That leaves 0% reason why he shouldn't, right?? Like the previous poster said...who better to coach it?? Just trying to show that there are more reasons why he SHOULD coach it than why he SHOULDN'T.:thumb:
Good post! NOW I am started to get excited about the game. Hope I don't get burnt out emotionally by Jan 7th. Also heard that Pellini is REALLY REALLY a nice guy. That explains why the players like him. I like the fact that after all those distractions, the team is focussing AS A TEAM on this game. Good point! Doesn't that remind you of the 2003 team: they also had good chemistry, but this time also with the coach! BTW that was some fascinating gourmet culinary tips :thumb: yummy! I presume you have to pluck the black feathers first.
If not him, then who? It's a veteran team, Pelini does his homework, puts them in the right call, and we'll be fine.
