that's quite a few 6-6 teams in bowls. ucla soon to be added to that list. wow. and to think shula got fired for a 6-6 season.
I'm just realizing that they put the International Bowl and GMAC bowl in January? You mean we have to watch MAC vs. C-USA that late in the bowl season? How boring is that.
I noticed that too. We have too many bowls. Bowl eligibility should be based on a 7-win season rather than a 6-win season.
UCLA vs Florida St. is already set for the Emerald Bowl. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/stewart_mandel/11/27/bowl.projections.1127/index.html Updated for Today's bid acceptance.
If that doesn't fire UCLA up..... unless a win wouldn't change that. Agree, especially with 12 games now.
It is pretty boring, but being from Mobile and my father's business being one of the major sponsors, it will be great for the city. Apparently the game over the past 5 or 6 years (however long its been in existence) has brought in the highest ratings ever on ESPN2... so they moved the game to ESPN and thought that it would be great to place it in the new vacant week before the NC game. And, the games have been pretty exciting with high scoring offenses every year... so it wont be too bad. It will give you something to do while waiting for the NC.
