Now it looks like they have LSU vs. West Virginia (Sugar) and Bama vs. Ohio State (Capital One). I'd like another shot at Ohio State - they beat us in a bowl game not too long ago.
Sounds logical. Right now I'm just worried about beating Ole Miss, the worst thing for us would be to have an emotional let down.
So are u guys saying W. Virginia because the Orange Bowl would take Miami? I would venture to guess if the Sugar has first dibs on LSU's opponent, they are taking either Notre Dame or Penn State. My guess is Notre Dame. Anybody know the pecking order?
I think they have to go Big East/Sec. I dont know for sure though and I dont know how the deal with Notre Dame would work out. Speaking of Big East, what if USF where to win that conference. LSU-USF? That would suck.
The Sugar has the last choice on the opponent for the SEC team (same was for Utah last year in the Fiesta)... that means the Big East champion... I'm gonna go with the longshot and say that USF beats WVU and totally exposes the Big LEast. As for Bama, they still have a shot at a BCS appearance. They could make the an-at large spot. Miami (ACC) Penn St. (Big 10) LSU (SEC) Texas (Big 12) USC (Pac-10) USF (Big East) ND (at-large) then who? Probably V-Tech, but bama has a chance. This, though, shows how screwed up the BCS is in regards to conference championships. You win your division, lose the championship game and are penalized, while a team that doesnt make it gets a BCS bowl. Say FSU beats Miami in the ACCCG... Miami would miss the BCS and V-tech would get the at-large because they couldnt beat Miami in the first place...
