Many people used to gripe when Skip would lose midweek games to the state schools or early season weekend series' to inferior opponents. The only thing that matters in baseball is getting to Omaha and getting hot at the right time. In college basketball, the only thing that matters is getting to the tournament and getting hot at the right time. We went to the Final Four one year as an 11? seed. Those 4 games are now meaningless since we are now a lock to get in. In fact, I think the losses helped wake this team up. Coaches will tell you, teams often learn more from a loss than they do a win. Many LSU fans think we should win every game in basketball and baseball.
