I guess he's not hurt that bad but he's just finding an excuse to escape from Laron Landry!!:thumb:
But seriously, that just proved that the SEC wears you down, you cant just keep playing in it every week without slipping.

landry opted out of the sr bowl as well. no details why. im guessing his agent's advice. hes going to be the 2nd db chosen at worst barring injury which im assuming is the reason for skipping the game. he has nothing to prove and everything to lose.

I wonder why he said, "It was a team loss, though." I thought he was the team. Sorry, just repeating what I read in the papers. :)

Don't get too far ahead of yourselves guys.
Brady Quinn actually got "hurt" in the USC game. While he did come under pressure some in the sugar bowl, he never really took a hard hit in that game.
I don't want to take anything away from LSU's defense. I agree they are probably the best out there right now, but you can't take credit for this one.
Word in South Bend is that he was advised by several people to sit out the senion bowl. Pretty much nothing to gain for him.

That's why I said I doubt he is seriously injured, but he just didnt want to look worse than he played in the sugar bowl, remember this is an All-star bowl.

Well he is there talking to NFL coaches at least.

Senior Bowl Notes: After pulling out of the game late in the process, Brady Quinn of Notre Dame stepped in front of a small gathering of the media here Sunday night. Quinn explained the injury was a bursar sac in his right knee and was recommended to sit this one out by renowned orthopedist Dr. James Andrews. While many are still skeptical about the whole situation Quinn hung around for two days and interviewed with NFL teams, facing the music.

[Off-topic] I hate when NOLA.com articles are linked, because you have to "register" to read them. [/off-topic]

Brady Quinn will either be Ryan Leaf or Kurt Warner. What the odds are on either, I have no clue.
