1. I hope he gets it.

I think with Indy giving up on the perfect season, it opened the door up for Brees, Rivers and now Favre (with his last 6 quarters of play that was otherworldly).

You could make a case for each of them.

I hope it's at least a close race. Manning running away with it would be a travesty.
  2. To me its either Manning or Brees. Look at what happens to their teams when they aren't in the game. Without Manning, Indy is 4-5 win team if that. Without Brees, the Saints may not win a damn game.

Close race between those 2 guys imo. I give the nod to Brees because the Saints would be the worst team in NFL history without him, so he is the Most Valuable Player.
  3. I gotta include Favre in there. He is having his most productive season ever and look at the Vikings this year compared to the past few years. He is clearly the reason they are so dominant because they've always had a pretty good defense. Brees or Favre...although Favre has more momentum right now.
  4. The reason i wouldn't choose Favre is because the Vikings would still be pretty good if Sage Rosenfels was their qb. Would they be as good, no, but they would still be a potential playoff team with a good defense and Adrian Peterson.
  5. with who?
you got to be kidding LaSalle.
They were going to be awful with T. Jackson and S. Rosenfel
  6. San Francisco won 8 games with Alex Smith, and that other dude that started a few games. Either one of those guys could have won 8 games with a really good team surrounding them and been a potential playoff team.
  7. Favre definitely makes the Vikings a better team, but with Adrian Peterson to hand off to, any efficient quarterback should keep that offense moving. Favre does not mean nearly as much to the Vikes as Brees does to the Saints, or Manning to the Colts. Manning, however, has 2 All Pros as his leading targets. The Saints entire receiving corps, with the possible exception of Shockey, is anonymous, yet Brees still puts up MVP numbers.
  8. yup, Brees for MVP!
  9. I wouldn't be surprised to see the MVP go to Chris Johnson
