No surprise here. http://www.secsports.com/index.php?..._channel_id=4738&url_subchannel_id=&well_id=2 SEC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK ALLEY BROUSSARD Running Back LSU 6-0 * 225 * Sophomore Lafayette, La. (Acadiana HS) Broussard rushed for an LSU record 250 yards and three touchdows in the Tigers' 27-24 win over Ole Miss. Broussard carried the pigskin 26 times, averaging 9.6 yards per carry. He scored on two one-yard runs in the first quarter and added the game-winner on a seven-yard run with 10:51 left in the fourth quarter. Three of his runs went for 30-yards-or-more - 58, 44 and 30 yards. The 250 yards is the most in the SEC this season and ranks 14th in the history of the league. The 250 yards bettered LSU's previous single-game mark of 246 set by Kevin Faulk against Houston in 1996.
I haven't seen a power back with outside speed like Broussard since Charles Alexander--who was a two-time All American and a Heisman finalist before he left LSU.
As as senior at Acadiana Alley strapped the Wrecking Rams on his back and carried them deep into the playoffs. It seems like he's starting to do the same with the Tigers, let's hope so!
