He's doing the play-by-play for the NFL Network on the Broncos - Chiefs game. He's terrible and totally out of his element. I wasn't a fan of Collingsworth as an analyst but he's a stinking genius sitting next to Gumbel.
I was gonna post a thread that the entire production of this games seems amateurish. From the poor lighting on the gameday crew to not being able to hear soft spoken Bryant Gumbel, this is not a very good debut. Gumbel has to go. They need to realize this and soon (like before they even broadcast next Thursday's game). I wonder if HBO has a financial backing in the NFL network having both Gumbel and Collinsworth doing the games.
Bryant Gumbel is a racist and is trying to use sports to revive his dead career. Greg Gumbel, on the other hand, appears to be a sincere and nice guy. He's actually a good play-by-play guy on CBS. The only reason they are using Gumble is because of the comments he made towards the NFL brass. I am guessing they think that it will help get people to watch if they think he will go off on the NFL.
