Unless they are one of two undefeated teams at the end of next season, they should not get a shot at the BCS championship game. They looked even worse last night than they did against LSU in the Sugar Bowl. That score could have been about 70 - 10 if USC hadn't put in its 2nd string D and called off the dogs on the offense. Stoops better watch out or he's going to get a rep for not being able to bring home the hardware.
Jeez....they looked like a high school team. I think South Lafourche could have beaten OU last night!! Jason White is absolutely awful in the big games.
i am not so much concerned with the love fest for ou. i am more bothered about having to hear the crappy love-fest about usc continue for another year.
Exactly. I always thought USC was at the center of the media suck-fest. Although, I will painfully admit, they deserve it after last night.
Agreed. USC gets more undeserved credit then anyone else in the country yet last night showed me that they should be the #1 team in the country this year.
Judging by ESPN's top-5 for next season, being OU is still in there, it doesn't appear that the media love for the Sooners will stop. ...and if it dwindles down a little bit, it's because people are jumping from OU over to USC. o:
The media lovefest as far as OU is concerned will now switch solely to Peterson as they do not have many proven players coming back.
I doubt they'll be undefeated or even a 1 loss team next year. Even the best have their off years, and I think the only thing that may save them from a 9-2 or even 8-3 season is a very easy schedule (TCU. Tulsa and UCLA-?). I also think it's Mack's time to get that OU monkey off his back. Go undefeated, beating OU and Ohio St. in Columbus in the process, and they're heading back to Pasadena next year. If they somehow get into a 3 team mix again, they're odd man out, no question.
