Do any LSU basketball players come to LSU becuase of Coach Brady? Or is it all the assistants that do the recruiting? I'm amazed we are losing this guy. This is a huge loss. http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/7419556.html
Yeah, I'm sure CJB is the only college head coach that relies on assistants to recruit! Here's the counterpoint from the Advocate. Players leaving or not coming to your program is not ALWAYS a bad thing. I think I'd rather have DJ leave now, if he's going to leave, instead of pulling a Shawnson Johnson, Kentrell Gransberry, etc. http://www.2theadvocate.com/columnists/rosetta/7432911.html :geauxtige :bball: :champs: LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL. BE A FAN.
He sounds like a really flakey recruit. Better to bolt now than halfway through his freshman year ala Lester Earl.
I guess I was reading spin when there was all the talk about what a great recruit we got and how excited he was to be a Tiger. I can't imagine how frustrating coaching staffs today can get over stituations like this. I've always been lukewarm about Coach Brady. I can't really put my finger on it. It just seems like he struggles with recruiting and having really good chemistry with his players.
I'd think a majority of LSU fans are lukewarm at best about Brady at this point. I know I am. He didn't deserve to be fired afer this past year but it'd sure be great if the program could show some consistency.
I'm with Brady on this. If a recruit comitts then signs his LOI, wasting our coaching staff's time & potential of signing other recruits, he doesn't deserve the P&G scholarship.
