OK I am not too about the rules here so I need a little help...

Can we send Prothro and Closner out to mid-field to be captians of the game Saturday, or do they have to be active players? I was thinking that for the last home game of the season, these guys should have the honor. Also, it should bode well with our fans and the players should get a rise out of this.

Just curious...I think it would be an awesome idea.

I'm sure you can, but you probably have to have active players with them. Not too positive though.

It's a nice thought, but I can't see it happening. I'm sure it'll be Seniors, probably along the lines of Croyle, Roach, Ryans, Pep...

Closner just had surgery Tues. afternoon...so I doubt he'll even be at the game.

FWIW, captains will be announced tomorrow on the University's athletic site.

If he has been released--and should be by then, then he will be at the game. I broke my leg 2 years ago EXACTLY like Prothro did but on the basketball court. If im him, NOTHING could keep me out of BD. I think he feels that way also.

The biggest reason I have *some* doubt he'll make it is I don't think he's scheduled to be released until Friday Afternoon. I'll check on that later on today and see if I can get more detail. The good thing about his chances to be at the game is the surgery was in B-ham, not T-town.
