In Ray Bradbury's novel, Fahrenheit 451 (the famous book on censorship), it was recently discovered that over 75 edits had been made to it through the years, so as not to offend anyone. Needless to say, Bradbury was livid when he learned of this.

In the book, one whole paragraph explained how the banning/burning of books began. It said that first the minorities were offended by a sentence, a paragraph, or a page, so that was deleted.

Modern editors had deleted this whole paragraph, because they didn't want to offend minorities. This IRONY is flabbergasting.
