http://cfn.scout.com/2/655901.html "The biggest games of the year go through Baton Rouge, led by an October 6th showdown with Florida." Congrats.... CFN has you guys in the top two games... pretty impressive. And winning both. Can you say "pressure"!!
I love this line: "If Urban Meyer had more than a week to prepare, the Gators would pull off the upset. He doesn't, and they won't." Hell, I live in Florida... certainly there's a statue of Urban near here somewhere that I can go "pray at" this morning.
Thanks Hawker! Good article. The top two games, WOW! Winning them won't be easy. I hope our guys aren't reading the press clips. Those other guys put on their pants the same way as us, they have good athletes, and they aren't coming to TS to lose, that's for sure. But I'd rather go into a season thinking we've got a legitimate shot to win every game, than having to write of 2 or 3 loses before you start. The D is good, but can't win games on its own. The O will have to step up for us to be successful.
I caught an article up on Tigerrag the other day about the success of HC's during their 3rd year. It was interesting. Only Dinardo and Moore had 9 wins in their third season. Not a single 10 W season in history. Although, I weigh that against last year and the discussion about LSU struggling with the even numbered years with the road schedule.
Great article, of course I hope the predictions are true. But one I do know what CFN predicts for the VT game will occur .... "this will be the national showcase game for the networks to milk the tragedy angle for their own purposes"
Oh, the media will milk it to the last drop.... Don'tcha just love it when the media gets you all hyped up for a game... and the play by play guy starts the game with "This will be a game for the ages"... and his sidekick in the booth says, "Speaking of things for people of all ages, be sure to watch the finals of "So You Think You Can Dance" here on CBS this coming Tuesday. You don't want to miss that great show." Media hype is a never-ending process.
