Any thoughts on whether LSU missed out on an opportunity to replace Crowton with Weis?

    He did nothing at ND.....
I'm taking the wait and see on this one.
Just looks good for WM at this point.

I was wondering about why he was leaving pros for this job and read about the 'family' angle. Obviously this is a poor attempt by Gaturds to copy Coach Miles family atmosphere around the complex. I expected more originality.

I disagree, dude is a hell of a coordinator. His offenses weren't the problem at Notre Dame. They scored points. I think Florida made a damn good hire with Weis.

Florida hiring Weis doesn't really scare me. While he had good offenses at ND, they certainly weren't 'unstoppable'. And at times, he came up with incredibly stupid decisions and unexecutable ideas that bombed on him. If I recall, Brady Quinn didn't look that great against us.

Personally, I think the limits on practice and contact time are too much for his offense to be really effective in college. He's leaving KC because he won't be able to get along with his head coach long term and he wants out now.

It's a good pickup for Muschamp, but it doesn't mean the Gators are invincible.
