I haven't seen where he's played a single down in '10 after RSing in '09.

    Anyone know the skinny?

He was battling injury issues much of his career but is completely healthy now. Has to work on getting back on the right track and has shredded the weight he gained during the injury issues and then some.

Don't know for certain, but you make it sound as if a player MUST set foot on the field after he redshirts.

I mean, I don't have any idea as to what's the reason we haven't seen him, but since he hasn't played, and he's still listed as being a member of the team, I can only guess that he's simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH yet and/or buried on the depth chart.

Just another example of how Les Miles can't coach up brilliant recruits....it's not just the quarterbacks. I mean, have yoiu seen the look on Davenport's face....confused like a deer in the headlights.

Miles is such a dumbass...he needs to be fired right now before we play Bama. We don't have a chance to win any more games because of clock management !!

(I'm really trying to get in the mood and fit in around here :yelwink2: )

Davenport's problem is he plays too high, which was okay in high school because he didn't have any competition. However, in the SEC it's a different story. It's the same problem that Al Woods, another five star, had. Davenport has also lost around 20 pounds, so that isn't the problem. Anyway, I remember in one press conference where Miles sounded pretty disappointed in his lack of progress.

I've wondered what happened to Davenport, but really I don't care. The starters are damn good, and the backups are top-notch too. If Davenport is behind them, that's ok. We've been pretty deep with great talent at DT for a while. Even Glen Dorsey himself rode the pine at LSU for a while. It's part of the process here.

Right now our run defense is very good, not to mention the rest our defense is too - one of the best in the country so far.

I never saw any footage of CD that ever impressed me. He was a big dude in HS, being big is not enough. He was very overrated and everyone knew it.

Plays too high and never really looks like he has an engine.

He's probably somewhere wishing he had switched to O-line.
