1. First I must have missed the news that he was released from the Bills this month. So now he could come back to play baseball at LSU next year. I cant read the whole article because I didnt put up the dough.

Is this a likely option for him?
  2. Hmmmm, I'm not sure if it's likely or not. He may wish to continue his career in a non-athletic way. In other words, he may want to move on. BUT! I'd be the first to welcome him back with open arms--I'm sure that CPM would feel the same way. CJ could really provide some much-needed experience to the infield.

Although, since I am not sure of how the NFL works, (not a big fan) it's possible that another team could pick him up, right? It may not be the end for him.
  3. It is possible he could get picked up but not likely since there are very few teams picking up rookie free agent kickers. Say he comes back for another year at LSU and takes a shot at pursuing a MLB career. He would get much more actual game time trying to make it into the big leagues. I see it as his shot to take another year to shoot up the draft board and get a nice payday.

If it doesnt work out, he could still get picked up as a kicker in the following years. He is in a good spot right now with his options because not many other rookie free agents are lucky enough to have these options.

I would love to see him back.
  4. im not sure, but i dont think its so easy to maintain eligibility in one sport after going pro in another. i think jeremy bloom had to jump through a bunch of hoops.
  5. Bloom's situation was because of endorsements. I don't thik CJ has too many of those.
  6. isnt their a big market for those funny punter's shoes with laces on the side?
  7. Stranger still- would his return make me care about LSU baseball again?

  8. Hope so, fried. Good times are ahead, my friend. Good times. Of course, who the hell mentions baseball at this time of the year?
