1. My friend plays in the band and was at the game Saturday night. After one of the Tiger touchdowns, the band was playing the fight song and a MSU fan (late 30's early 40's) grabbed one of the members trombones and smashed it on the ground. They notified the police and the guy wasn't arrested, thrown out, or anything. He was just given a WARNING. What the hell is up with that. If that were to happen in Tiger Stadium the guy would have been tackled by security and arrested on the spot. We would be all over national news. " Tiger fans brutally assult a band member!" I can see it.
  2. This is one of those situations where, if you didn't witness it don't believe it. I was at the game Sat. and from what I have seen of the security in the stadium, the alleged 'guy' would not have gotten a 'warning'. I saw people escorted out for MUCH less than that.

Sounds kinda like the stories that get out about LSU fans at Tiger Stadium....you know the ones where we all throw urine, burn cars, and rape grandmothers. I don't buy it!:dis:
  3. There are police assigned to watch the visiting band area in Tiger Stadium. I saw EBR Sherriff Deputies roughly haul out a drunk who harrassed the Tulane Band in the late 1970's. I imagine most schools have similar arrangements to protect the visiting team and band.
  4. are you guys really talking about band members? I love the band, but come on
  5. huh?!?!?
  6. Doesnt matter that it was a band member, that wasnt the point
  7. Tulane had a band?
  8. Yeah, Tulane's FB team ... you heard of them ...

    The Tulame ... Turdburglars ... i think

    What's a turdburglar?
  9. It's TRUE

Believe it or not, the it's true. I'm in the band and saw the whole thing. The guy not only took the trombone and threw it, he cut another MSU fan's leg. The trombone is broken beyond repair and the bandsman didn't play for the rest of the game. The director on the trip had to beg and plead with MSU police for them to do anything to the guy. They went down to the police station and got an affidavit and the guy is supposed to be paying for it. We thought he was ejected, but sure enough he came back in. Skip was in the stands at the game and heard about it and talked to the MSU AD about it. It is true.
  10. The MSU fans suck ass. My group of friend were tailgaiting in the RV lot (mostly LSU people) but we were at the bottom of a hill with nobody for 100 yards. Later in the day a group of MSU fans came next to us and started tailgaiting. We were all nice and getting along just fine, we even fed them. They said that they would be back tailgaiting after the game. We get back after the game and these assholes have stolen our grill and 3 ice chests. Granted, they weren't chained up but were in the back of a truck. A friend that we were staying with had bought the grill the day before so we could cook some fucking asshole MSU fans stole it. Should we have chained the grill up? Maybe, but I would think that fans would respect us especially after getting along and talking with them all day.
