Quote from Suwanee (GA) Peachtree Ridge linebacker Kevin Minter

"I'm going to LSU's spring game," he said. "I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like down there during the game."

    Just one of many.

Like it or not, the spring game is now an important recruiting tool. We're a big time program, we need to be competitive in all aspects, including the spring game.

Not directed to you but that seems to be the flavor of the day- THIS year, anyway. We sure thought Bama was out da box for utilizing such a tool last year and ridiculed them- can't have it both ways Tiger fans.

Bama almost always has a full house for their game. It's nothing new to them. We're just wanting to build ours up to be more of an event. Nothing wrong with that.

Certainly not, in fact I think it's a great idea.

Just have to be careful cause the toes we step on today could be connected to the ass we have to kiss tomorrow.

It wasnt a huge deal until they made it one. Recruits commented on it because Saban made them (brainwashed) realize it was a huge deal. Now with the public acknowledgment of the game and tons of schools trying to hype it up I think it has become a big deal. I would love to see our "game" become a game. jmo but I would bet the game atmosphere would benefit the program and players a lot more than an open practice. I know Les plays it down and says they want to get better in a practice but I think part of it is because that is his style, whether he is right or wrong...live plays and unscripted action benefits players a lot, and separates practice players with pressure.
