Apparantly what Coach O did here is within the rules since he didn't contact a player. My question would be is it ethical or it Coach O playing dirty pool? Another question would be does Coach O really need players from Tulane? The Ricard kid had good numbers the last two seasons, but that is agianst CUSA opponents. I believe that this is the lowest possible thing anyone could have done. Coach Orgeron is now my most hated coach in the SEC. http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pb...34/1109/SPORTS
I am not surprised. It makes me wonder if he was contacting kids from Tulane directly right after Katrina. Back in September, the Times Pic had an article about the Tulane sports teams staying together and enrolling at other schools as a team but playing under the Tulane name. Something was mentioned about how a complaint had already been made to the NCAA about coaches from other schools contacting Tulane atheletes.
I've never exactly gotten the impression that Ed Orgeron is the brightest crayon in the box. His act is going to wear pretty thin at Ole Miss PDQ.
I don't know if it's ethical or dirty pool, but it is desperate and pretty damn funny. How hard up for talent do you have to be to go robbing Tulane?
Hell he called me and asked if I knew how to pull from the guard position. I was like WTF, you want me to help coach??? He said hell no we suck and fat, aging, smokers are an upgrade if the can read a playbook. I told him to shove it.
