I think USC is better than AU. AU should not have beaten LSU and I think that most can see that. I do think that LSU would give USC a better game than AU would.
Auburn did beat that WSU powerhouse 40-14. Granted, it wasn't on the road, but it is what it is. I'm not sure how anyone can claim USC is better than Auburn at this point based on what has happened on the field. This is not USC's offense of past years. They have struggled against both Arizona and WSU.

I don't like ESPN football coverage. You can say what you want but I don't believe that AU is that good, they are too 1 dimensional.
How do you draw the conclusion that AU is better than USC? It is just an opinion either way, common opponents are not an indicator of who would win between 2 teams...and you know that.
medtiger's argument is very solid. However, most of the posters here would feel that Auburn should be ranked over USC for two reasons. A. We lost to Auburn. B. We hate USC. It's as simple as that. You might make arguments for other reasons, but that's the ulterior reasoning behind it.
I think our arguments are just as valid.. 1. Media and Coach bias 2. USC is obviously not the team they were the last few years yet they seem to remain in the same ranking as years passed 3. Teams that LSU and AU have played couldn't compete, as with USC they have
