I personally thought his comments were fine, they were certainly nothing new or to get upset about. My criticism is that too much of the interview was wasted talking about two other coaches, one of whom is already slated to be on the show Thursday. I would have much rather heard CLM talk about the QB battle to come and how he thinks the O line will shape up. Asking a coach where they think their team should be ranked is a pitfall and CLM did a good job avoiding a number.
Yes, they were tough questions. The kind where there are no right answers. In Bama though, the radio shows and every other media place is talking about Miles already...whether deserving or not, that is what I'm talking about. Going into the season with no news seems to be better than putting yourself out there in a negative light to opposing teams (whether deserved or not).
