  1. To the point I believe this team can beat Alabama.

My favorite play of the entire night was 3rd and goal inside the 5 and we throw the quick inside slant for a score, ala Michael Thomas.
  2. Good post ...

  3. Well I can't ignore what my eyes are seeing.

And it's nothing like we've seen in the passing game since who knows when.

And I'll add I saw staple components of the Saints passing game tonight.

Short quick throws over the middle, passes out to safety valves to the running backs out in the flat. Then as you force the defense to play tight, you go over the top down the seam to your tight end 30 yards down the field. Pinch me I'm dreaming.

  5. Unbelievable. There's nobody you want to fire.

  6. AND the defense did not get gassed. I loved D White but he will not be missed. AND special teams are the real deal.

  7. The intensity was something special. I enjoyed it.

While the offensive plays were mostly scripted, I was impressed with the new style and most importantly, the execution.

I know it was a rent a win, but it is not often we start the season that crisp.
  8. Exactly, in years past we would have had 380 yards rushing and 190 yards passing with 1 TD pass on 22 pass attempts.

  9. What a difference from previous years. Nice to have a passing game.
  10. This is what happens when you have 8 returning starters on offense that are now seasoned, stronger and healthier. Mostly a couple of really good QB's who have been coached by the same the same OC for a full Spring. Also the same position coaches for a full for our WR's and RB's, something that didn't happen last year. Lastly the addition of hopefully a bright young passing game coordinator to aid our OC.
