Confident about a win tonight? I'm not at all. Now obviously coming off of a loss, some pessimism is to be expected. It's not just from the last loss. LSU's defense has been swiss cheese all year. I am a huge Crowton supporter but he got taken behind the woodshed last week. Aside from the coaching the LSU players just haven't shown the type of heart a championship team needs all year. No one is stepping up into leadership roles and too many players are running their mouths on and off the field. Amazing the amount of trash talk that the players were tossing around even as the clock ticked down in the 4th quarter in a game that they were absolutely embarassed. Jarret Lee needs to step u into his role as the team's leader.
I think this is the week where the team leaders step up and require every Tiger to do the same. I believe the Tigers will win tonight - and look good doing it. Not that the score will be lopsided - I just think the team will play hard and as a TEAM on every series on both sides of the ball. And when that happens, I feel good about our chances of winning the game. :geaux:
I think this game is pivotal for the fighting tigers of LSU. Games like last week are important to bounce back from the following week. I think LSU comes out and re-establishes the running game and their OL dominance. I'm not sure which poster said it in another thread but the game is 90% mental. I say about 80% but either way the mental aspect of the game plays a tremendous role in games. A good bounce back win tonight and LSU is back on track. A defeat and it could start to get in the team's head. These are YOUNG men that emotions and confidence come and go quick. LSU 28 SC 17
it will either be a blow out by LSU or a loss its not hard to figure LSU out, stop the run , win the game
I'm with BB, about 80% confident. This team now knows they are not good enough to just show up and win. Coming down to earth can be a good thing. SC can win in their house if we don't come to play, but I like our chances. LSU in a close one, 27-21.
I'm feeling pretty good about the game. But it is a road game. I figure after that shameful game against Florida, we'll be up for this one.
Actually he stated the game is 80 % mental, as opposed to my previous post stating it's 90 % mental. I'll go with 80 percent confident though. Good call. It will be a solid win by LSU, in all 3 phases of the game. Just what the doctor ordered heading into that big Georgia game.
